About Purple Diamonds and the Violet Ones

Natural fancy-colored diamonds are pieces which are not often seen. Some are so rare that acquiring it entails a lot of money, effort and time. The colorless or the white ones are more common but not necessarily cheaper. An example among the rarest is the purple diamond. This should not be confused with the violet or pink ones. There are subtle distinctions which set each one apart. In order to know more about purple diamonds, an individual should have an idea how to distinguish it from the others whose colors are very near it in the spectrum. There are more instances when it is mistaken for a violet diamond thus, it is vital to note how the two are different from each other. Purple diamonds tend towards the shades of pink in the spectrum while violet veers towards blue. Both though are quite rare that not so many people would even recognize it when worn.
